As I said in a prior post, I am "researching" various kit clubs (i.e., enjoying playing with a different selection of papers and goodies). Currently I subscribe to Scraptastic, but I am looking into other clubs. A while back I won a Scraptastic kit and had a blast seeing how far I could stretch it.
Wipe Out kit was the first kit I received (their June offering I believe) and this was the first page created from the kit. (And the first one since getting back to scrapping after too many months away --- insert sad face...) The only thing I added from my stash, was the baker's twine and a couple few enamel dots.
Now that I can get to my scrapping supplies (kind of) again and have a small work-space set up, I went ahead and subscribed. I found on my initial two kits, that they were mostly company exclusive products. And while a bit of this is fine, it is not what I was expecting, nor what I am ultimately looking for. Now I do see in the upcoming kit they seem to be back on track with their more usual selection of products from popular companies (which makes me v-e-r-y happy!). But in the meantime, I didn't think it would hurt to look around at other kit clubs to see what else might be available that would be a good fit for me.
So far, even with company exclusive products, I've been happier with the Scraptastic kit(s). I was able to produce more pages and the products went together easier. The materials provided coordinated better, even the "B" sides mixed well.
This kind of easy-peasey page was just what I needed to get my scrapping confidence back and coax my mojo out of hiding!
More to come on my scrapbook kit "research"!!!!
