Today this is bugging me...  (or maybe I am just in a snit, which is entirely possible).

This ongoing conversation on some of the scrapbooking forums (or what is overheard at crops or at the store) sometimes gets to be a bit much for me.  It seems that those who scrap multiple photos hold those who post pages showing only one photo in great disdain-- and those who scrap one photo pages don't seem to think much of the multiple photo scrappers.

Truthfully I think the whole discussion is pretty pointless; everyone is going to scrap they way they want to.   What I am getting around to (s.l.o.w.l.y)  is that just because a layout is posted with only one photo, do scrappers really discount that whole layout as not usable as a multi photo layout?

Seriously?    Put two photos right on top of each other where the larger photo is depicted...  or three smaller or cropped photos.   And hey, hey!  You over there smirking cuz you are a one photo layout person and don't look twice at a multiple photo layouts....

Are you kidding me?  Substitute a larger photo where you are seeing multiples.   Both of you, get over it.

and another thing....  I often post a layout showing only one photo on the page.  But lots of times the secondary page has multiple photos on it.  It's just not always as striking as the one photo page.

My case in point is the layout I posted last month about my mom.  It is a two pager--but I only posted the first page.

OK, you are now returned to your regularly scheduled programming...  and I promise to try and ignore the fuss between the one-photo-er's and the multiple photo-er's in the future, cuz I am not going to change either of 'em anyway...

ahhhhh, I feel better now.

  4. Love your two page layout! Beautiful! And I hear ya! I personally do both kinds of scrapping. I don't get all the complaints and discussions but that can be true about many different scrappy discussions for me. :)

  5. I'm sorry to hear that some people gave you that feedback. I think both pages are amazing - perfectly balanced for a double spread.

  6. Cheryl - the reason I am not a scrapper is that I find the whole scenario too, too busy....wait for it....even the one photo pages.....you will now realise I am a clean and simple cardmaker when it's for myself but I have to say that for cards made to order they can be fussy....not my choice but my customers....but to address your thoughts.....it is a personal thing for each scrapper...their page, their layout....what on earth does it matter to anyone else....be yourself and please yourself as you have said.

  8. I have to laugh... it is like the turf war over scrappers vs. card makers. I ONLY make cards, have no patience for something the size of a scrapbook page... but I go to scrapbook sites too 'cuz I can learn something or see something that inspires me for my cards. Heavy sigh. Your work is beautiful by the way, and you help spark my creativity!
