Christmas is Upon Us

Since it snowed (and rained and then snowed some more -- it felt like shoveling pond water this morning!) it is beginning to look more like Christmas here in Wisconsin.

And then there was the annual Holiday Card Marathon at Legacy a couple weeks ago, our annual cookie exchange that my friend Anne hosts every year, not to mention the Legacy Christmas party at my friend and bosses' house this past weekend. Plus I will be doing the annual cookie bake-off at my daughter's house this weekend.  We will be making Pink Lady Fingers, Spritz, Rolled Meltaways, Chocolate Crinkles, Ribbon Cookies, Stone Jar Molasses Cookies, Frosted Meltaways, and oh yes-- Deluxe Frosted Sugar Cookies (I always wind up doing those --- it seems I am the official cookie dough roller and cutter).  We usually experiment with a new recipe or two and even if we do not finish all the cookies on baking day, we each make a few batches on our own and then swap them.

So between the baking and the party-ing and the card making, Christmas is most definitely upon us! With so many fun holiday papers, the hardest part of designing the holiday cards for the marathon was deciding which papers to use!

The cards in the foreground are from the card marathon.  Actually, the tree card was supposed to be part of the card marathon, but we sold out of that stamp set (from SEI's Christmas Mint collection and it is now back in stock).  That card had to be slightly redesigned for the class.  The marathon has become so popular, we now have to hold it twice to accommodate everyone.  How cool is that!?

The little gift bag is the make & take we did at the Stamp & Scrap Expo.

And the page is, well just cuz!
